AIMEE
Founder Of MissChivers Pets -
Puppy/Dog Trainer, Walker and House/Pet Sitter
Aimee founded MissChivers Pets almost a decade ago with the passion and determination to help fellow animals lovers communicate with their pets and care for them when they are unable to.
I started my journey caring and admiring nature and animals at a very young age. I always needed to be around pets or other peoples pets. I had many cats growing up. I even trained a few of my cats using Classical Conditioning! Looking back, this was the start of my animal training interest. We also had a number of rabbits, guinea pigs and a variety of dogs (from a lovely Irish Wolf Hound named ‘Dog’ to an adorable Bichon Frise named Larry the Lamb!)
After years of experience pet sitting and walking dogs, I decided to move to the centre of Cambridge where I began my business from a push bike cycling around Cambridge, walking dogs in all weathers. After building up the group dog walking pack and pet sitting side of the business, I soon realised many of the dogs I came into contact with actually needed training in some areas, or were potentially fearful of other dogs or humans. Therefore these dogs needed 121 training, attention and care before joining a pack walk with other dogs.
Years down the line and I have now successful built up my business. I’m very proud to be doing something I have so much passion for.
This is when I decided to focus on puppy and dog training, an area I have always been specifically passionate about.
Prevention is better than cure!
I am now currently studying dog behaviour with the Institute of Modern Dog Training (Level Four). My mission is to build on connection and trust between owner and dog/pet. To not only prevent dogs/pets from ending up in shelters but to also rehabilitate the dogs/pets that have been fortunate enough to find lovely homes.
