Aimee founded MissChivers Pets almost a decade ago with the passion and determination to help fellow animals lovers communicate with their pets and care for them when they are unable to.

​

I started my journey caring and admiring nature and animals at a very young age. I always needed to be around pets or other people's pets. I had many cats growing up. I even trained a few of my cats using classical conditioning! Looking back, this was the start of my animal training interest. We also had a number of rabbits, guinea pigs and a variety of dogs (from a lovely Irish Wolf Hound named ‘Dog’ to an adorable Bichon Frise named Larry the Lamb!)

After years of experience pet sitting and walking dogs, I decided to move to the centre of Cambridge where I began my business from a push bike cycling around Cambridge, walking dogs in all weathers to eventually completing a business course which landed me a small loan to invest in the MissChivers Pet Services Mutt mobile - still on the road today, 8 years later!

After a number of years and growing the group dog walking pack and pet sitting side of the business, I started to notice that some of the dog's I came into contact with were actually dogs that felt anxious, were uncomfortable around other dogs, environments or people, or potentially feeling some sort of pain in their body adding to any stress they may already have.

From always having a keen interest in emotions and behaviour, I then decided to focus on puppy training, 121 dog training and bespoke training walks, starting my journey studying behaviour. ​​​​

​​To constantly learn, improve and find the most recent information in modern scientific dog training, I regularly research and I attend accredited dog training courses and webinars.
